    Q2512 Mennonite Peonies. More pictures. C1850-60, Lancaster Co., PA. Magnificent, early quilt, using rare chrome orange and chrome yellow prints. Entirely hand pieced. Quilted in cables, circular designs and by the piece, at 6-7 spi. Back is an early blue/green print. Self bound from front to back. Excellent, unwashed condition. A few light stains. 80x96 $1400

    Q5041 Applique Floral. More pictures C1940-50, ME. Probably made from a kit; sewn by expert with fine applique and quilting stitches. All solid colors of green, blue, pink and yellow, set on high quality off-white cotton. Same off-white cotton is used on back. Separately applied binding. Quilted with floral designs, swags and leaves at 10 stitches per inch. Excellent, clean condition. Washed once. 79x86.  $495

    Q0330 Mariner's Compass. More pictures. C1930. Wonderfully colorful rendition of this most sought-after pattern. Pieced in solid colors of red, green, yellow, pink and white, and set on a rich 30s blue ground. Compass blocks are very well made with good points and lots of pieces (142 pieces in each one!). Three strips of sashing between the blocks with nine-patches at the intersections. Quilted in a one-inch grid in the ground and around the pieces in the compasses, at 5-6 stitches per inch. Thin cotton batting. White cotton backing. Self-bound from back to front. Excellent condition. 63x86.  $1195

    Q5133 Log Cabin Barn Raising. More pictures C1880. Graphic, small-scale log cabin with over 2,500 pieces, (196 blocks). Primarily red, green and yellow calicoes and prints. Machine pieced; hand quilted around each piece at 6-7 stitches per inch. Large scale floral print backing; thin batting. Replaced "over" binding in reproduction shirting print, done in the 1980s. 79x79. Very good condition.  $650 reduced to $450

    Q5066 Rolling Stone. See full-size picture C1890-1910, ME. Graphic quilt with early prints and a great backgound print that really "pops." Tightly hand pieced. Thin batting; dyed mauvey-pink cotton back. Separately applied brown binding. Quilted in diagonal lines in a zigzag pattern over the whole quilt at 5 stitches per inch. Not the best quilting but certainly adequate to hold the quilt together. Quilt appears to be unwashed and is in excellent condition with a few light stains. 79x82 Close up.   Shown on bed.    Another close up.   Another close up.  $250

    Q4136 Double Wedding Ring. More pictures C1930. All solids: cheddar, pink, and blue on white background. Very graphic. Quilted in floral designs and by the piece at 8 stitches per inch. Excellent condition. 63 x 75. $325.

    Q5035 Princess Feather. More pictures C1930. Extremely graphic applique quilt. Solid blue and orange on true white ground. Well sewn. Quilted inside the appliques and in a diamond grid over the background, at 8-9 stitches per inch. Thin cotton batting; white backing and orange binding. Excellent, clean condition. A few light spots. One tiny snag tear has been repaired. 69x84.  $375
