    Q5170 Applique Floral Sampler. More pictures. C1930. Outstanding sampler of flowers. Twenty blocks of different flowers, set off with an applique outer border. Both the applique work and the quilting were done by an expert with tiny, even stitching. Heavily quilted with intricate designs, including feather chains and floral motifs at 9-10 stitches per inch. Very thin cotton batting; off-white cotton back; separately applied green binding. Excellent, clean condition. A few tiny pinprick spots.  $650

    Q5152. Wild Goose Chase. More pictures. C 1870. Signed in cross-stitch on back "P.T. Burcher." Beautiful madder prints set with quality off-white cotton. Early muslin back. Entirely hand pieced. Heavily quilted in straight at 6-7 stitches per inch. Separately applied binding. Excellent, unwashed condition. One half-inch tear in corner (probably from a tag) and several small spots. 87x105. $850

    Q5070 Star of Bethlehem. More pictures. C1930, MA. Well made, colorful star set on ivory-white background. Quilted around each diamond and in straight lines 3/4 in. apart, at 6-7 stitches per inch. Thin batting; pink back, separately applied blue binding. Excellent condition. Has been washed. One light spot. 81x90.  $325.

    Q4795 Rolling Stone. More pictures. C1910, PA. Very well made quilt in primarily red, white, and blue color scheme. Very neatly quilted in cables and one-inch cross-hatching. Tiny stitches, about 9-10 spi. Wide, medium-blue outer border. Back is a gray stripe print. Thin batting. Excellent, unused, crisp condition. A few little spots. 75 x 80.   $395.

    Q4908 LeMoyne Star. More pictures. C1890. Beautiful, rich chrome orange blocks set with star blocks. Two borders. Muslin back is rolled from back to front to form binding. Very well made; entirely hand stitched. Beautifully quilted with feather wreaths in the orange blocks, straight-line quilting elsewhere, at 8-11 stitches per inch. Unwashed, crisp condition. Some stains. 72x82. $450

    Q3761 Jack in the Pulpit. More pictures. C1910-20 New Harmony, IN. Cute, cute scrap quilt set on a yellow and black print. What a wonderful variety of early 1900's prints. Quilted in a grid at 7-8 stitches per inch. Mint, unwashed condition. 74x86 $425
