    Q5184 Postage Stamp 49-Patch w/ Sawtooth Border. More pictures. C 1930. Colorful, well-made quilt with over 5,000 5/8-inch pieces. The blocks are artfully arranged in color-coordinated rows set diagonally across the quilt, and framed with a sawtooth border. The pieces and blocks are handpieced; border is machine pieced. Heavily quilted in diagonal lines a half-inch apart, and a feather chain in the border, at 9 stitches per inch. Quilt has a nice weight with a thin cotton batting and a muslin back. Cadet blue binding. Sleeve for hanging states the quilt is from the collection of Kitty Clark Cole (quilt collector from Michigan; you can read about her on the internet). Excellent condition. Washed, clean. 74x86  $495

    Q5069 Pots of Tulips. More pictures. C1930. Beautiful colors and pattern. Made with quality cottons; setting fabric is off-white. Quilted in fancy scroll pattern in the open blocks, and in a 1.25" grid in the background. Nice, even quilting at 7 stitches per inch. Thin batting. Off-white cotton back; separately applied binding. Pencil and pen quilt markings. Unwashed, excellent condition. One small spot. 68x91.  $595

    Q4724 Star Variation. More pictures. C1880-1900, PA. Very graphic, interesting pattern. Stars "pop" on the unusual brown background print. Brown plaid/print backing. Very thin batting. Straight line quilting at 6-7 stitches per inch. A few spots and one light stain in border. Otherwise, crisp, unwashed condition. 78 x 78.   $450.

    Q4798 Laurel Wreath. More pictures. C1860-1870, Juniata Co., PA. Wonderful, early graphic quilt with amazing sashing fabric. Quilted in small feather wreaths and straight lines at 8-9 stitches per inch. Set and backed with early muslin. A few light stains/spots on front. Water stain on back; otherwise excellent condition. 66x 85.  $795.
