    Q5180 Pinwheels. More pictures. C1940. Interesting pattern done in Lancaster blue, double pink and a shirting print. Machine pieced. Hand quilted by the piece at 6 spi. Very thin cotton batting. Self bound from back to front. Quilt has been well used and is quite soft, but still fairly good condition. One 3x3 in. patch on back. Very large 76x90. $125.

    Q5175 Sunbonnet Sue. More pictures. C1930, MI. Well made, attractive example of this popular pattern. Thirty blocks, all made with different coordinating prints, embellished with black embroidery. Colors are so pretty together. The Sues are set on muslin and sashed with pink (vertically) and mauve (horizontally). Muslin back; thin cotton batting. Separately applied lavender binding. Quilted in squares, straight lines, and around the Sues at 6-7 stitches per inch. Excellent, unused, crisp condition. 72x88.  $425

    Q4684 Applique Cutwork with history & appraisal. More pictures. Dated and signed in embroidery in center: "Presented to Asa S. Knechel buy his mother 1898". This quilt was donated to the Kent County Maryland League of Women Voters for a fund-raising raffle. Nine applique/reverse applique blocks done in red and white. Quality fabrics and workmanship. Heavily quilted in cables, grids and diagonal lines at 6-9 stitches per inch. Probably quilted by more than one person; all stitching is neat and even. White cotton back and separately applied white cotton binding. Excellent, unused, unwashed condition. Some very light stains. Sleeve for hanging 72x72.  $795

    Q4600 Applique Coxcomb. More pictures. C1930. Cheerful pattern and colors of red, green and yellow on true white background. Nice quality. Quilted in cables motifs and straight lines at 8 stitches per inch. Thin batting; white back; scalloped edges with yellow binding. Excellent, clean condition. Large, 86 x 88.   $550.

    Q5057 Pots of Tulips. More pictures C1940. One of four quilts from same Oklahoma family. Family later moved to Texas. Maker is known and name will be provided. Attractive colors and design, set on white cotton ground. White cotton back, thin batting and separately applied green binding. Heavily quilted in diamonds and around the tulips, at 7 stitches per inch. Very good, clean, sturdy condition. A few light spots. 72x82.  $350

    Q4724 Star Variation. More pictures. C1880-1900, PA. Very graphic, interesting pattern. Stars "pop" on the unusual brown background print. Brown plaid/print backing. Very thin batting. Straight line quilting at 6-7 stitches per inch. A few spots and one light stain in border. Otherwise, crisp, unwashed condition. 78 x 78.   $495.
