    Q4967 Amish Sunshine & Shadows. More pictures C1935-1940, Lancaster Co., PA. Authentic, fine quality, early example in wonderful colors and fabrics. The borders and corner blocks are made of fine wool chalis in deep burgundy, and two shades of blue. The center squares are a variety of fabrics (wool, cotton, sateen, crepe). One and one/half-inch tape binding in blue. Quilted in traditional patterns: cross-hatching though the center squares; intricate feather chain in the outer border, and a meandering floral vine in the inner border. Quilted in black thread at 8-9 stitches per inch. Blue plaid back. Excellent condition (no wear, fading, moth holes); just one small spot (see photo). 78x78. $2500

    Q2270A Mennonite Brickwall Trip Around the World. More pictures. C1910, PA. Colors are brilliant. Treadle machine pieced "bricks" measure 1.75" x 3.50". Repeating fabrics include blue calico, solid teal blue, yellow calico, cheddar, double pink, and solid turkey red. Three borders in green calico and double pink. Beautiful print back. Separately applied red binding. Quilted by the piece at 7-8 stitches per inch. Thin batting. Excellent condition. A few small spots. Washed. 77.5 x 92.  $625

    Q5163. Dated 1851 Oakleaf and Acorn. More pictures. Rare quilt; initialed and dated 1851 in the border. Solid turkey red, and green and yellow calico prints, set on off-white cotton ground. Same off-white cotton used on back. Separately applied double-pink calico binding. Entirely hand made with wonderful appliqued date and initials, embellished with chain stitching. Quilted in one-inch cross-hatching and in double lines in the border, at 8 spi. Very good condition with no serious problems or wear. Light stains. 82x82  $950.

    Q1844 Album Patch/Chimney Sweep. More pictures. C1880, PA. Great fall quilt in early greens, madder prints and yellow calico. Wide ribbon print border on all four sides. Makes a good bed quilt. Quilted in floral designs and straight lines, in brown thread, at about 6-7 stitches per inch. Back is a chocolate brown plaid. Very thin batting; self bound, tightly rolled from back to front. Appears to be unused. Still crisp. One small spot on front (1/2-inch dia.). A few spots/stains on back. Large size, 86x87, will easily fit a queen bed.  $375

    Q5161 Diamond in Square. More pictures. C 1890-1910. Sweet country quilt in muted green, pink, indigo and shirting prints. Plaid back. Medium weight batting. Hand pieced. Quilted in straight lines at 5 spi. Very good condition. A few light stains. Some inconsistency/fading in the green. 68x69  $125.

    Q5124 Feathered Star. See full-size picture. C 1920-30. Made by a member of the Stathem family, from St. Gerardi area in MO. Good pattern done in red, white and blue color scheme. Blocks are hand pieced with earlier fabrics; sashing is 1930s blue. Muslin ground and backing. Thin quilt with average quilting. Red binding shows the beginning of wear but doesn't need replacing. Quilt is a little soft and has a few tiny holes. Overall, it is in good, sturdy condition. 67x83. Close up.    Another close up.   Another close up.  $150
